Burger King Launches Ozempic Burger

Miami, FL – Burger King today announced the launch of its new Ozempic Burger (TM), after trialling the product for months at select locations.
"We've worked closely with Novo Nordisk"--the maker of weight loss drug Ozempic--"for a long time to craft the perfect weight loss meal," the company wrote in a statement.
The launch marks the first time the fast food giant has partnered with a pharmaceutical company, and many industry experts see it as a sign of where the industry is headed.
"This is a bold partnership," said Raj Gupta, an industry analyst at NPD Group, which monitors the fast food industry. "Many fast food companies are viewing the rise of GLP-1 drugs as a threat to their business. Burger King is showing that this can be an opportunity."
Early reports show that consumers are wary yet interested in the product, noting that the chance to devour hamburgers while reducing weight was certainly appealing. Burger King has not released any sales numbers from their trial period.
McDonald's, the nation's largest fast food company, responded to the announcement by revealing they are in development of a complete line of "McWegovy" products, such as Wegovy McNuggets, Wegovy fries, and of course, the classic Wegovy Big Mac.
