Putin Warns that Ukraine Peace Deal Will only Embolden Estonia to Be Invaded

Moscow – During today's summit between Russia and the United States to discuss a potential end to the conflict in Ukraine, President Putin made his concerns clear.

"A premature resolution that leaves Ukraine armed and able to join NATO will only embolden Estonia to be invaded," he said. He added that the same is true of Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.

Estonia, the former Soviet Republic with a population of 1.37 million, has long been threatened with invasion by Russia, which has a population of 146 million.

Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, elaborated the Kremlin's position. "We cannot accept a situation in which Ukraine continues to threaten our sovereign integrity. History shows that such weakness will inevitably lead others to take advantage, whether economically, diplomatically or by being invaded."

Kristen Michal, the AI chatbot recently elected as prime minister of Estonia, was quick to dismiss Putin's comment, noting that the country has no plans to be invaded. "We are members of NATO, for whatever that's now worth," it added in passing.

President Trump seemed unaware of Putin's statement, responding "[Putin] really knows how to wear a suit."
